At-a-Glance Essential Health Info

If you are looking for the most common health information, you’ll find it below:

  • When to Keep Your Child Home: To prevent the spread of illness, please keep your child home if they have a fever of 100.0°F or higher, have vomited or had diarrhea within the last 24 hours, or have a persistent, uncontrollable cough. Students must be fever-free without the use of medication for 24 hours before returning to school.
  • The “October 15” Deadline: Per Illinois state law, all required Physical Exams and immunization records must be on file by October 15. Students who do not meet these requirements may be subject to exclusion from school.

Medication at School: If your child requires medication during school hours (including over-the-counter items like Tylenol or cough drops), a Medical Authorization Form signed by both a parent and healthcare provider is required. All medication must be brought to the office by an adult in its original packaging.
